Hi @Wc27 - there is a technique to using the button.

 

Squeeze the watch between the first finger and thumb so the fleshy part of the thumb covers the indentation.

 

It may take a few tries to get it to respond, but a double tap of the screen will wake the screen and a swipe right will cancel if you can't get it to work.

 

If it is a watch issue try doing a full Shutdown from the watch Settings menu. Wait at least 10 seconds before placing on the charger to restart it and charge it
