Sense charging cable not working

I really love these devices but starting to feel like I've wasted money on my daughters versa and my sense. I can't get them to charge, the only solution seems to be new chargers and I refuse to buy a new charger every time I turn around. Has anyone else had issues with the stupid pins in the charger kind of falling into the charger? It's happened to us now on several chargers, this makes the watch useless. 😑

@Kmhny I got a really good robust charger from Amazon, was cheap about $7 bucks, not pricey, but it solved the pin issues, as it is better... Was thicker... Description below... The other thing you can do is on the old charger use some solder and force the pins to stay up, the shock causes the spring to fail on the original charger. YMMV

Charger for Fitbit Sense/Sense 2/Versa 3/Versa 4, Replacement Charging Cable Cord Magnetic Dock Stand for Fitbit Sense 1/2, Versa 3/4 Smartwatch

Fitbit Ionic 72.1.15 (recalled), Fitbit Sense 128.6.17 and Pixel Watch 2 BP1A.250305.019.W3, March 2025.

Thank you! I'll go purchase that and see if It works better for me! It's really dumb the pins aren't more fixed in place.

I appreciate the warranty, and I'm within it. But if there is no plan to fix charging, getting a new charger would only fix my issues for a month or two.

Hi @Kmhny, thanks for your reply.

In case your device is still in warranty, our customer service support will find the best solution for you and check the warranty options with you. In case the warranty is expired you can purchase other charger in one of our authorized retailers.

My fitbit sense will not charge completely and has totally died.  I think it's about 2 years old. I have 3 chargers and all 3 can not get it to charge. This is my 4th fitbit in 6 years and all 4 only lasted about 2 years ot less.   I might have to switch to Apple watch.  I hear they last longer.

I posted a solution here but it was deleted because of a link to a product on the biggest Internet commerce site. The cable that comes with the Fitbit Sense is rubbish. Get not a cable, but get a Charger Dock for Fitbit Sense because it has a stronger magnet that brings the contacts better together.

If you have difficulties to get the Sense to keep a charge try a factory reset, then pair it again with your phone and set your preferences. I did this because either the clock face or some other setting drained the battery of my Sense. If you are in the Apple eco system, go for the Apple device as Fitbit products are dying to promote the Google Pixel watch with its horrible battery life.
