Sense compatibility and Samsung S20 / S20+

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I’m considering buying my first Smartwatch, and after research, the Sense is what I’d like to get. However, I have a Samsung S20+, and it doesn’t appear to be compatible according to the FitBit site. Before I eliminate my preferred choice from consideration, I’d like to confirm that I’m under the right impression and should avoid the Sense. Thank you for your help.

Our team is continually adding more devices and improving our compatibility, so if you don't see your device on the list check back soon. Through this link, Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker? You will be able to see a list of devices that are compatible with the Fitbit App.

Thank you for your reply. My phone has Android v11, but the phone isn't listed in the link you sent. What does that imply? Or, what does that mean?

Hi @CPT85260 It's great to see you around!

To set up, sync, receive notifications, and take advantage of other features of your Fitbit device, the Fitbit app needs to be installed on a compatible phone or tablet. If your phone isn't listed yet, it might be possible that all features won't work as they should since it is not fully compatible but take into consideration that our team is working to add more devices and at the same time, improving compatibility.

Keep me posted.

I have just upgraded  to a Samsung s20 fe  and have the latest software my fitbit sense works OK but now it seems  I can't read my texts or even send back texts like I did before with my Google phone.

I feel at looking into this regardless of the up to date android version I feel that my new phone (Samsung s20 fe) isn't compatible with my new fitbit sense.

Please could you confirm this

I get text notifications but it won't let me read them or reply back on this phone.

Hello @Emma.tunbridge Welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. The Fitbit app was optimized to work on certain mobile devices to ensure the connection with a Fitbit device, and the performance of its features. Currently, your phone doesn't appear in our list of compatible devices which means that your phone isn't fully supported. Our team continues working hard to add more devices based on our members feedback and I recommend checking back soon.

See you around.

I had problems when I got my S20+ last week.  If you are getting notifications on your phone (first thing because if you are not getting them on your phone blue tooth will not send them to your watch). turn on blue tooth on your phone and on your watch.  On your phone go to Today/Click on watch icon top left/click on your SENSE/Go to notifications and pick which ones you want.  My S20+ is now working fine.  https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1979.htm?Highlight=Notifications

Hello everyone. @Emma.tunbridge Your feedback is so important and I hope your mobile device can be added soon. Please make sure to check back soon.

@steveo57 Thanks for the input! Sometimes some features may work but since devices aren't fully supported, they might stop working or encounter any other inconveniences. I am so happy to know that the troubleshooting steps have worked for you and thanks for sharing the link!

Have a great day!
