Sense constantly stops syncing to my phone

Is anyone else having the same issue where the Sense stops syncing with your phone? It is so annoying!  I have to restart the fitbit and then try to find it again on my Bluetooth.  It has happened a few times already and I've only had it for 2 weeks.  Does anyone have solutions?  I have tried all the instructions that fitbit gives. Maybe I should return it.

Hi @Jenngue have you tried these steps

A user should never be able to connect a Fitbit tracker to their phones Bluetooth. This is a job for the Fitbit app.

I've had my sense a week, it was paired to my phone and syncing fine until last night. I tried everything then I installed the device and now I can't reinstall it

If toy haven't removed the tracker from your Fitbit account, there is not omg to install.

@Jenngue if a none syncing tracker was removed from the Fitbit app, the users problems have been multiplied.

Let's do these steps to fix the sync problem. Once we fix the sync issue, you should be able to setup the tracker.

Fitbit seriously needs to revisit their sync situation.  I woke up this morning to look at my sleep score in the app and saw my Sense hadn't sync'ed since the 5th.

- Tried manually syncing.  Nope.

- Toggled bluetooth on my phone.  Nope.

- Force close/reopen Fitbit app and sync. Nope.

- Restarted Fitbit Sense.  Nope.

- Restarted Phone.  Nope....at least the first time...

...and then finally, it sync'ed.

The Sense summary is still as follows:  UNRELIABLE.

You just cannot COUNT on it being up to date and in sync with your phone, and you have to play lots of games to get it syncing again when it decides it's not going to anymore.  I tolerate it because I'm a techy/programmer and am used to fiddling with tech.  I cannot imagine a 'normal' person keeping this device when it is constantly out of date and refuses to be brought up to date.

Interesting that everyone help with "my phone" but no one wants to let us know what model their "my phone* is.

Next time this happens @RandyRx8 follow the link in the post above yours.

I have a Pixel 4 XL.  And yes, I followed the link and did everything up to but not including removing/re-adding Fitbit accounts ,because honestly this is straight from the "Hi, please re-install Windows to fix your problem" school of support.

If you are asking about the all day sync, has the power management been turned off?

Their is never a reason to remove the tracker from your a account. As many have found out, doing so will simply dig a deeper hole.

I've had my Sense for 6 days now, and already had to reboot it twice due to lost connection. I haven't seen this problem once with two other watches in two years, and am thinking of returning since this seems to be a common issue.

But in my case the rebooting works.

Weather never syncs for me.  Always get the location error.  After verifying all permissions set properly on my phone and successfully sync'ing several times with no update to the watch weather, I shut down and restarted the sense and it was there.

This product is so unbelievably bad in terms of sync'ing software.  Shutting and down and restarting the watch all the time is a sign of a broken product.

@RandyRx8 have you checked what location is set in the weather app. You will find this in the Fitbit app, account. Tracker. Apps. Weather. Tap setting cog..

@Laaura5 Fitbit says the tracker is not suppose to stay connected, but it is suppose to stay trusted,

When the Fitbit app needs to talk to the tracker or the tracker needs to talk to the app, being trusted they should connect.

So am I ! I am thinking to return the sense now as if the versa has no issue on the syncing matter, it is a huge disappointment.

My Fitbit Sense was paired for about 2 hours the day I got it and then it dropped BT. It took rebooting my phone and watch 3x to reconnect. Now, after several more days of use, it drops connection about 20 times a day and I usually have to fight for 5-10 min sometimes to get it to reconnect. It seems to get about 3 good syncs before it forgets what it was designed to do, forgets it's one job in life, forgets about sharing my wrist data with my phone.

UPDATE: I've been trying for the past 3 hours to get my Sense to sync with my phone. Literally nothing is working anymore. I've gone down the list, trying every single thing listed in the forums and the BS posted at help.fitbit.  Maybe there's a third party app that helps do what fitbit has failed to do for themselves? Googling this now.

I'm not sure what list was gone through but I would check this list @drmikeburns

I'm not sure what is meant by drops Bluetooth. The tracker is designed to connect/Sync/tgen disconnect. So most of the day, the tracker should not be connected to the phone.

What I mean is that I try to tap "Sync Now" and it returns a red circle
with an exclamation point in it and refuses to sync. The phone can't find
the watch and the watch can't find the phone. I've been fighting with it
for 9 hours now trying to get a single sync.

I'm having to pretty much restart my Fitbit Sense every single day to kick it in the teeth and get it to sync.  This truly sucks.
