I am from Canada, and I am on a Pixel 5 phone. It is fully updated, and so is both my fitbit app, and my fitbit sense. Fitbit sense was factory reset, as well as fully installl, reinstall of the app on my phone. Yet, when I go into the voice assistant tab, and attempt to connect to the Google Assistant, it loads for a while, before saying "couldn't connect" with only giving me the option to (retry) or (cancel).
I don't know what to do at this point, I thought it would be fixed since Fitbit is now under the Google banner.
Thank you

Does your Fitbit app have permission to run in the background on the phone?
Is power management disabled for the Fitbit app?
Is the phone connected to the Internet?
A few things I would look at.
Also try with the Fitbit App open

I'm having the very same issue with my pixel 5. I've only had the sense for 2 days now but I absolutely cannot connect to google assistant. Have you had any luck finding a fix??
