Sense - data sync issues

Hello
I faced strange data sync issues yesterday and today. Today in the morning I noticed that there is no hourly activity shown in Fitbit App from 11AM yesterday. I tried to restart Bluetooth and the phone but it did not help. I restarted the Sense and then my activity appeared in the application. But it worked only until 10AM today and from 11AM my hourly activity was missing again. The restart of the phone and of my Sense did not help. I had to remove my Sense from the application and pair it again. From that time it record the hourly activity but there is not hourly activity reported in the application from 11AM until the time I reconnected my Sense.

When I swipe up the clock on Sense I can see all hourly activity recorded, when I check "Today" on my Sense the hourly activity is reported there as well. When I check the data in the phone Fitbit application there is no hourly activity reported there (from 11AM until 3PM). When I check hourly steps graph in the phone application application there are no steps shown from 11AM until 3PM and when I sum all steps reported in this graph the total does not match the total number of steps reported in the main dashboard. The total number of steps reported by Sense is the same as the total number of steps reported by the phone application.

My Sense FW version is 44.128.6.17, my phone application version is 4.20.1, both are the newest available to me. I log in using Fitbit account.

Has anyone of you faced similar issues? Do you have any suggestion what to try to fix it permanently?

Thanks and regards
Pavel

Hi @Pavel_Z - others have reported errant hourly logging in the latest Fitbit App.

I would say check using the reliable online web dashboard but unfortunately Google has removed it for everyone in July 2024.

You probably can't fix this but can waste time trying or even make matters worse.

Alternatively you could use a clock face which gives you your Active hours and hourly steps to do (or done) directly on the clock face, such as SimpleClockPro which also has multiple reminders to move and an all day hourly steps history in the meantime.

Hi Guy
I expect it's the latest application update as well so I hope the Fitbit team is checking these forums and it will be corrected in the next update.

But I have been using Fitbit multiple devices since 2015:
Surge - of course I faced the issue with its broken strap, so it was replaced
Surge - broken strap again, this time money was returned to me (it was still in warranty)
Charge 2 - worked about 3 years and then it died
Versa 2 - I used always on display on it so it still works but the display is not in the best condition
Charge 4 - as a replacement of Charge 2. I face troubles with GPS track recording during running/biking from time to time.
Sense - I like the set of features it offers so I bought one in a sale. I was surprised by so short battery life compared to Versa 2.

So from my own history I've learned it can take quite a long time until it will be fixed...

Have a nice day.
Pavel
