Sense doesn't have connected GPS

I just recieved my fitbit sense... Having a play around on it this evening I realise there's no connected GPS? Seriously? It's in your cheaper trackers, saves battery power and is far more accurate. I dread to think what the accuracy will be like, I never used the built in GPS on my previous charge 4. That tracker is now dead as the screen faded. I thought I would be able to at least do this on a Sense. Please can you get your Devs to implement connected GPS On the sense devices? They could manage it on the lesser devices and the app has the capability so why on earth not?

Or... Is it possible for me or someone to code an exercise/app that will use connected GPS if fitbit won't do it themselves? Apparently using the companion api you can use the phones geolocation services.
