Sense doesn't save countdown timer

On the Versa / Versa 2, the countdown timer saves the last timer you set. For example, if I used a 30 second timer, the next time I went to the timer app, it was at 30 seconds.

The Sense doesn't seem to save the last used time. Each time I need to set a 30 second timer, I need to recreate it from 0. It was much easier on the Versa 2 as I could just hit start (assuming it was last used on the same amount of time). It looks like you can have multiple timers going at the same time on the Sense, which in theory is nice. However, I need a 30-second time multiple times a day for physical therapy and it used to be much easier to get it started. Now it takes more time and it's awkward.

Am I missing something or is this something that could be added down the road?

I was having the same issue but just discovered, when the timer goes off at the end, there's a reset circular arrow at the top you can tap instead of the big check-mark at the bottom. That turns off the vibration plus sets it back to original value.

Thanks! That helps if I'm doing them back to back, but it doesn't seem to stay for a few hours later.

You're right.  I didn't realize that.

I was just going to post on this. It isn't the end of the world but it is a huge annoyance! I have to clock out for lunch (I work through it generally) and clock back in at a very specific time. I forget! So I had my Versa 2 set for a minute under the lunch time so I'd remember to clock back in. Now I'm having to set it every day which seems silly because we really should be able to save countdown timer settings. Though I realize my problem isn't as bad as multiple 30 second timers. Maybe we should put this into feature requests?

I have the same issue. I punch out for lunch and always had a timer on my Ionic. I thought the Sense would have the same and keep it in my timer list. This is an annoyance .

I used to keep the built in timer at 45 minutes for a specific purpose and used the Alexa timer for everything else. Now I’ll use Alexa for just about everything. It seemed slightly faster to use a preset timer than Alexa while Alexa is quite a bit faster than the timer when its time is not preset. I will survive this trauma 😉

Totally voted in your other post.  Yes please, correct this oversight.  I upgraded from my Ionic which used to retain the last setting.

The Sense is a superior watch than the Ionic and I love it.  Unfortunately, it seems that the software developed for the Sense has not retained/improved the features and options available in the Ionic.  They have totally ignored the previous coding and introduced less smart and nonsensical options--the Timer is one of them.

I use the timer and countdown quite regularly and having to reset the countdown over and over again is annoying and time-wasting.  The repeat timer only lasts a few minutes and then it resets to default.

While I wait for FitBit to correct this glitch I am using a great free app called SwipeTime.  The app is simple and barebone but works perfectly and retains the last setting you can find it at SwipeTime by ImplicityApp | Fitbit App Gallery

Thank you for the tip this is a much better answer than the Best Answer.

Thanks for the suggestion alex-w. Just installed SwipeTime.  Looks good.

I like the SwipeTime but I would prefer if FitBit corrected the error in their current Timer App.

I had set timers for patient assessments i had to do. Now my patients sit there and watch me set me timer over and over. It adds up throughout my day. Considering going back a model.

@MEonTIME  - try SimpleTimer from the gallery, it remembers the last timer set and 4 presets, can do auto start, repeat, display can stay on while timing, and button does stop / start.

You can also use it as a stopwatch or to set alarms.

I use 4 minutes with my eye drops :droplet: I set 4 min use it and before leaving start countdown timer for a second then leave with 3.59 flashing when I return next day I have a timer 1 that is 3.59. It seems to work.

Sounds like a lot of steps. I just use Google Assistant on the watch and voice command my timers. Long press the button and speak

@ebolton-  If you use Auto start and Repeat, it will start automatically the next time where it stopped.

You can also use the button to pause it at 3:59 before exiting.
