Hey y'all, the fitbit is tracking steps at night that I did not take. Their minor steps. Is it essentially saying I'm just restless sleeping? I had it on my dominant arm, now it's on my less dominant.
I noticed a bit ago its talking about steps I didn't take when I was typing or doing graphics. I was like WTF man!
I don't know what's going on here. 😞 Please help and I can't delete the steps either. I don't want to have to figure out how many accurate steps I took in the day by going to the app and minusing the steps it lied about. 😞 I like to track my steps every day.
This and a few other nights are the only nights it's done it.

Hi @Rebelraven As a wrist worn device, Fitbits calculate your steps based on your wrist movements. So any activity using arm activity is likely to add steps (for example, playing the guitar or piano, typing, drumming, ironing etc). In the general scheme of things these are usually insignificant when looking at your daily total. If you get a few hundred steps overnight for example, that is normal, if you get a few thousand, either you are an extremely active sleeper or the tracker is over reactive.
If it is an excessive number of steps then Restart your Tracker a couple of times and hopefully that will fix it. If it is a minimal number then that is just life with a wrist worn tracker.
