Every morning I wake up and there are already steps counted on my Fitbit. I move a lot in my sleep so I’m assuming this could be the reason why but how do I stop the Fitbit from counting restlessness as steps?

Hello
I'm too a restless sleeper and my sense will sometimes register steps not many though
Do you put your sense into "bedtime" mode I have mine scheduled from 11pm to 7am that should help it detected some movement but the sense will always register some movement as long as its not saying you've walked loads of steps then I wouldn't worry too much ...if it does register a lot maybe you're sleep walking around the neighbourhood!...see if your neighbours are giving you funny looks 😄

Just a few. Maybe around 80.

Wel I certainly hope I’m not sleep walking around the neighborhood. 😂 I do have my sleep settings automatic.

Hi there, @HelaOdinsdottir. @Rich_Laue and @Newtripley Thanks for stopping by to help our friend.
@Newtripley Thanks for your great insights. Just let me clarify that while the bedtime schedule won't affect how your sleep data is recorded, it'll help you to meet your sleep goal and maintain consistent sleep patterns. The same is with the Sleep Mode on the Sense which only prevents you from receiving alerts whenever you're busy or sleeping.
@HelaOdinsdottir Thanks for getting back and sharing all those details with us. As you may know, when your body is completely at rest and you haven’t moved for about an hour, your Sense will detect that you’re asleep. On the other hand, if you're moving too much on bed, your watch might track some steps by mistake to give you credit. While you shouldn't get too many steps, you can try restarting your watch to refresh its performance and see how it goes in the next days.
