Sense is tracking too many floors

What is the point of having a fitness tracker if it can't track things accurately? I woke up today and have done nothing but walk around my house and done very little of it and it has me at over 100 Floors. Not to mention the dumb charging issue. This was not a cheap watch. Never again; I'm definitely switching to a new fitness watch. Over Fitbit.

Hi there, @jillybeans92. Thanks for stopping by in the Community Forums and sharing the details about the issue with your Sense. We‘re taking your comments and sentiments in regards to our products and services into consideration.

As you may know, your device has an altimeter which is a sensor that calculates altitude based on atmospheric pressure to track your floors. However, your device may give you credit for extra floors while doing everyday tasks such as opening doors, driving, AC, or riding elevators or escalators, or from abrupt weather and atmospheric pressure changes. Exposure to excess moisture can also result in extra floors.

If the above doesn't describe your issue, please make sure to have your Fitbit updated to the latest version. Also restart your Fitbit to correct any misbehavior, wear it snug on your wrist and monitor its behavior.

I do wear it snug, there is no update available and I restart it every day because of the issues it always has.  It's just an inaccurate tracker, which defeats the purpose of having a tracker. It's also not my first one. I have had at least a handful of trackers and this is the first one to do this.   It was not a cheap watch either, and the support from Fitbit has really gone down. See message above.  You are literally saying it's normal for it to be inaccurate when you explain the sensor. lol

Terrible product.

I'm having the same problem. Now. The first 7 months it was fine but now I get 60+ floors when I haven't climbed 10. I've dealt with customer service the last two days doing all the restarts, factory resets etc. I was told the same thing. I may get extra credit. I DIDN'T BEFORE! I PAID $250 FOR THIS THING. So your saying oh well that happens sometimes?!? No more money from me.

Exactly, I think my first fit bit was in 2013. No more for me. I am sorry you're experiencing what I am too. I think I may be going to Samsung next. I'm it sure yet though 🤔
