Running IOS 17.3.1, Fitbit firmware 128.6.17
have deleted Fitbit app, reinstalled, have deleted device and re-added. Have restarted watch. It shows it is connected in Bluetooth, not getting texts or calls, yet notifications are all on. If one does happen to come through, and I go out range of my phone then come back, Bluetooth connection is lost and have to re-pair all over again. Have had the device for 2 years and never had issues like this.

Do u think switching everything over to google would improve anything? I haven’t yet but the way the watch is now it’s useless as a smartwatch

@mlynes16- unfortunately it might make matters worse by introducing other possible problems. As mentioned the issue is not something you can fix permanently.

That's a pretty common problem over the past few months. If you search the forum for the word sync you will see over 2000 posts in the past few months for multiple watch models, with issues similar to yours. If you search a few of the recent threads you will see some common troubleshooting steps that work (temporarily) for some of us. If you have not switched to a Google login yet I would not do so now, many people have reported new and worse issues after switching to Google login. I personally have had no issues with the switch to Google login since I was already using my Gmail account as my login previously, but many people that have switched have a lot of issues with their watch and Fitbit app.

I agree. I have never had so much trouble with a watch syncing. Everyday I have to reset the watch to get it to resync. Whenever I log any statistics, such as weight, on the watch it doesn't transfer to the phone so I have to enter it manually on the phone.
Never had this sort of issue with my Garmin.
Surely it can't be that hard for FitBit or Google or whoever to sort this out.
This is the last FitBit I'll ever buy.

It's not that hard. I wonder if Fitbit has any app developers left after the recent round of layoffs?

I have the same issue and I am ready to ditch Fitbit and get another smart watch.
I hate having to reboot my sense every day to get it to sinc.

Yes. Mine does the same. After I switched to iPhone 15 Pro Max and iOS 17 and up, I had this issue with no connection to the phone -> no notifications.
I have to force close the app and start it again in order to connect to the Sense watch. I thought it is an iOS Fitbit app issue, I still think that. I think that Google will not invest in fixing this for older Fitbit watches, they want us all to switch to their Google Watch with Fitbit that only works on Android devices. NEVER!
I will switch to other watch (Garmin or Apple Watch) when my Sense will die… I am 10 years and counting a fitbit user and I’m very disappointed with Google 😞

Hi @lucaiuli - thanks, the explanation may be, on your old phone you probably had the older V3 Fitbit App which worked. On the new phone you may have had to install the new V4 Fitbit App which has connection issues that you have to manually correct each time.
As it is not a watch issue it has to be corrected in the App. This ongoing problem is not inciting users to switch to Google Pixel watches which are not even comparable to the Fitbit much longer battery lives watches.

So, there is an update coming for the app?
Now my Sense started to drain the battery from 99% at 00:00 to 72% in the morning and I can't make it through the day.
It looks like the days will come for my Sense... but I didn't expected to be so abrupt...
Thanks
