Sense not counting floors

Since March 22nd I have received and connected a replacement Sense. But from that time there are no floor counts. Before the switch I always had about 6 to 11 floors (living in an apartment complex without an elevator 😅).

I have reported this to Fitbit support, but after the usual unsuccessful options like restarting, and back to factory defaults, I received an email stating it was the known issue without a possible fix in the near future 🤔

Now my questions are to all of my fellow Sense users: "do you have the same problem of no floor count like me? Did you reported this to Fitbit support and received the same answer?

Hi @RonaldM - not the usual fault of counting too many floors.

Try using the SimpleFloors app.

The App shows how your watch is affected by environmental issues such as, going room to room, upstairs/downstairs, inside to outside, changes in temperature, etc.

If the App is not registering pressure changes the sensor hole could be blocked or there is a watch fault.

This App is only meant for checking purposes as it uses the battery a lot, but at least it will give you an idea if your watch is fine or if it is some other issue.

Good morning @Guy_, thank you for referring me (and creating) to this app. It's great to be able to really check out if the available sensors are working. I'm going make sure the battery of my Sense is fully charged and I will test it out today! Of course I'll let you know the outcome.

Just to clarify, my Sense isn't counting floors at all.

Walking my usual four floors does not make anything happen if I'm reading this correctly 🤔

@RonaldM-  thanks for the photo, looks like your refurbished watch is totally faulty as it is showing a pressure of 0 which is not possible. Ask to receive a new one which works.

Hey @Guy_, after some other troubleshooting suggestions from support I received a replacement offer. So a new (refurbished) Sense is on its way. Hopefully this time with all functionalities in working order. 🫣

Again thank you for your help 👍🏼

fitbitshare_1833762219.JPEGSame here. Switched from Fitbit Versa 2 to Fitbit Sense over a month ago. With my Versa 2, I logged an average of 25 floors (each floor = 10 feet ) per day for almost three years, no issues. Got the Sense and it is definitely NOT logging the flights of stairs correctly. Shows only between 3 to 5 flights a day and I'm doing the same stairs as before! Nervous about doing a factory reset, but I need it to work right. Open to any and all suggestions, please. Very frustrated.
