I have this issue for a couple of weeks now. Notifications were coming in fine then nada. Don't think I changed anything.
I called support and they emailed me instructions I've already done. I just did a chat. it was really frustrating cuz there was a 3 to 5 minute wait between chats. I spent 30 minutes and did almost nothing so I bailed.
I guess I'll call again, but the thought of spending time to do the same steps I've done several times now bums me out.

Update.
Called again (got right through) and explained I've tried everything on the support pages, phone support and 30 minutes on chat. The first thing she asked me to do was to check the "do not disturb" on the Sense itself (swipe right on the home screen). It was on (I don't remember doing this but whatever) and now my notifications work.
It's funny cuz the (android) trouble shooting tips have you check the phone's "do not disturb" setting but not the watch (which I didn't know existed)

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Rdwwdr. Thanks for letting us know that removing the not disturb on Sense made notifications work.
I'd like to invite you to visit our Discussions board where you can share your experiences, meet people and create new topics.
Keep on visiting the forums.

I don’t see a “do not disturb” button, now even in settings?
