Sense not keeping a charge

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I charged my Fitbit sense this morning around 9am to 100%, within two hours it was already at 82%. It is now 4:11pm and my battery is at 22%. I do not have anything extra running on it and my clock face is non animated. Is anyone else having this problem or does anyone know how I can fix the issue. The only thing I have changed is my band and I do not take it in the shower or pool.

Hmmm. Me too! Charges last night to 100% put it on to sleep with and it's 70% now. So frustrating. Thinking of taking it back.

I love Fitbit. But I feel like I have to replace them every year. I have tried rebooting my phone and sense several times. For the first time ever.... I’m going to look at an Apple Watch.:(

**UPDATE**

I just worked with the support team.... they are replacing it...  and this is why I love Fitbit... sooo glad, I don't have to go to an Apple watch!  Fitbit for the win!!

It is happening to me too since yesterday. Charged it to 100% before going to bed, woke up this morning and battery is at 24%. Before, it lasted at least 5 days! I haven’t changed anything in the settings.

Same here! It started 3 days ago and watch is running out of battery by the end of the day! So frustrating!

I’ve been having the same problem, starting yesterday. According to the App Store, the Fitbit app updated immediately before the issue started so I assume it is at fault. Resetting the fitbit and the phone makes no difference.

I had this exact same issue and nothing fixed it. It wouldn’t last a full night while always on sleep mode. Well a few days ago, I don’t know if the app updated or what but the battery is as it should be now. It even displays messages about slow charging due to not being plugged into the wall when it wouldn’t before.

Mine is having the same issue! I took it off the charger last night before bed, and now it's at 70% in less than 24 hrs.

That’s not too out of the ordinary, for me I would take it off the charger before bed, have it on sleep mode so it wouldn’t activate and it would be dead before morning. Now it lasts the 4-5 days it should with full use.

We're having the same problem here.  This is very frustrating...

My wife and I both got the Sense for Christmas.  We both have the iPhone 8.

We've been using the Sense mostly without issue.  (Twice in the last month or so my wife's would not sync and I had to remove the Sense from the FitBit app and re-add it.)

Anyway, 2 days ago my wife's Sense's battery started draining in less than a few hours -- not a day, a few hours.  She has literally *not* changed anything.  We don't have the GPS on, etc.

She had been using a clock face that wasn't one of the pre-installed ones.  She has been using that clock face for months without issue.

I had her try restarting the watch, but that didn't fix anything.

Our apps are all up to date.

As a test, I had just go back to the default clock face and she's now charging the phone again.  I suspect though that this won't fix anything (because as I was saying she's been using that clock face from the beginning).

Anything else to try?

We ordered the Sense directly from FitBit so hopefully a return won't be a problem.

On a related note, my Sense stopped receiving text messages a couple of weeks ago and I can't get it working again.  I tried the tips I've seen suggested in these forums: swiping right and turning notifications off and on, etc.  But nothing.  I can see when I get a calendar notification or a phone call.  But no text messages.  Actually, now that I think about it, it doesn't get some other app notifications as well.  Hmm...

Help?

Yes!  I was at the park with my dog and noticed I couldn’t get the display working. So I put it on the charger when I got home. Took it off fully charged to 100% at 6:30 pm. Woke up at 12:30 am to see it was already down to 43% b

I’m having the same issue, it started two days ago. I purchased my sense from Fitbit in January of this year set up and have not changed anything and it worked fine the battery would last 4 to 5 days now I have to charge it 2 times day. I think now that google is involved that it’s software issue causing this problem. Because there was a update just a few days ago and that’s when all this started for me, I will be contacting Fitbit on Monday.

Update:  finally keeping a charge. Now won’t keep time or sync. Called Fitbit (frustrating) but they are sending me a new one.
