Sense not logging mindfulness until much later

I try to do the 2 minutes EDA Scan every day. But I regularly find that the app and watch misses sessions for days at a time.

 

Despite everything else on my Sense and iPhone app being up to date today, the mindfulness showed the last session (and associated logged feeling) was two days ago. I did another session today and suddenly the phone shows both today's and yesterday's at the same time. Both app and Sense jumped from 1 of 5 days to 3 of 5 days done this week.

Hi @aNiall8. Welcome to the Community Forums.

Thanks for sharing detailed information about your Sense. While this is odd, may I know if the rest of your data is syncing and updating correctly in the Fitbit app? Do you recall when this started to happen? If you've not done so, on the Fitbit app, tap your profile picture > Sense > Apps > EDA Scan and check if the permissions are turned on. Also, make sure there isn't any pending update.

Additionally, please give a try to the following steps:

  1. Log out from the Fitbit app.
  2. Force quit the Fitbit app and reboot your phone.
  3. Restart your Sense.
  4. Open the Fitbit app and log back into your account.
  5. Pull down on the screen to force a manual sync.
  6. Use the EDA Scan app on your Sense one more time and sync as soon as you finish.

So, I did a 2-minute EDA/mindfulness session last night

Check app this morning - not all my details synched for yesterday - such as distance, stairs, activity, EDA sessions
Resysnched app/iphone SE2
Activity , distance, etc now look good in app. But EDA only shows a session on Monday but not the one on Tuesday (Wednesday today)

Log out of app
Force closed the app
Rebooted iPhoneSE2
Rebooted Sense

Logged back into app and resynch - connectivity ok, but no change to EDA - still showing Monday only.

Did an EDA session
Resysnched app/iphone SE2

Now the EDA sessions for Monday , Tuesday , & Wednesday are all there.

It looks like the EDA sync using different rules to everything else. I regularly must do another EDA session just to see the last one . I would say it happens every second or third time.

I'm sorry you continue having this experience with the EDA Scan sessions. Let me share that our team started rolling out a new firmware version for the Sense. This is a progressive roll out and they're working hard to have it available to all our users soon. Please wait for this update, install it as soon as you receive it and monitor your watch's behavior in the next days. If the same situation keeps occurring, don't hesitate to let me know so I can continue helping you with this matter.
