Sense not measuring distance and steps correctly?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Sense does not track neither steps nor distance correctly when I walk with the stroller. Even though the GPS shows the route correctly on the map, the device shows only 30% of the distance and steps. It is quite demotivating, and I don't understand why the distance is not accurate since it shows correctly on the map?

Any suggestions? ☺️

Good to know. Anyone able to help a new Sense user figure out how to adjust the length of stride? I believe that is was causing mine to record distance inaccurately.

I imagine that if your fitbit arm is holding on to the stroller handle, it does not have the normal motion Fitbit detects while walking.

I thought I already posted by reply on this topic but for some reasons I can't find it any longer. Never mind, probably I forgot to push the button "Reply".

@Headholio yes it could be but according Fitbit (for example here

"Please note when you track an activity with GPS, your device calculates your distance using GPS data rather than steps. If you begin moving before you get a GPS signal, your device calculates distance using your steps until GPS connects."

hence wrist movement (or lack of it) shouldn't be the case.

Thank you. It takes forever to connect the GPS, so I am usually too impatient to wait, but I'll give it a shot 😅

You did post an answer, but it seems that it has been removed along with one of my answers as well.
