Sense not only won't charge, now it discharges. FitBit, what is up?

Purchased the Sense once it became available (I'm normally an early adopter for new FitBit models).  The Sense seems to have abnormal battery and charging problems, as many posts in the community show.  However, no word from FitBit that I can find about the problem (besides ways to optimize power usage).

My Sense worked fine at first, but a few months in it started giving notice during charging that it was charging slowly and to try a different outlet.  I purchased a second charge cord from FitBit and tried using various outlets with the same results.  Also, cleaned the watch back each time before charging.

Now the Sense is discharging white connected to the charger, so it looks pretty grim.

Is this a design problem (this is a new charger design for FitBit) or a battery problem?

Software updates never seemed to resolve the problem.

I normally charge the watch every day, or sometimes every other.  When it was new I could sometimes go three days and it would still be around 50%, but not anymore.  The Sense has not been out a year.  This should not be happening.

I like all that the Sense can do, but it is also the first FitBit that has charging problems like this.

Have a look at the suggestions posted here it will give you a better understanding of the problem, though it seems the watch is faulty and probably best to contact Fitbit Support directly. They may be able to help you.
