HI there. Recently purchased a new phone Galaxy s21+. (Remind me when this phone dies to just send letters as setting up every app again is a hastle!)!
I wasn't getting texts or calls or emails. then I made it able to get emails. I went through restarting phone, app, and watch. Then factory resetting watch and uninstalling app. Then nothing.
Then couldn't pair watch with phone after. Got to the point Fitbit was sending me a sense because I was under warranty. (old used one at that).
Me being the I need to figure this out person.
I did walk through with a rep and he made sure all my notifications were on again. The only one I didn't have on was for photos. But I couldn't pair my sense controls still. I got the sense itself to pair, but not the sense controls.
What worked is taking the app off my old phone and uninstalling that. Even though we factory reset it, it still had sense controlled to the old phone.
What also helped is going to phone settings and looking at advanced features. Clicking on "Call & text on other devices" was the last thing to turn on in order to allow text and calls to the fitbit. Apparently you can turn on every notification you want, but until you turn this on the phone won't allow anything to work.
I hope this helps someone as all the posts about this lead to dead ends and people returning phones. Fitbit owes me some reward, as this info saves them $ as their representatives should know this so as to not give out more devices. Maybe a new band would be nice as mine is dirty. Good luck.
looking forward to seeing a reply from Fitbit.

It's great to see you in the Fitbit Community, @Help2020fit.
I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced with your Fitbit Sense. Thank you for the time you spent trying to get them resolved.
If you've set up notifications in a mobile device, a bonded with your Sense is created and it won't sync to any other mobile device until the bond is disabled. To disable the bond, it is necessary to remove your Watch from the list of Bluetooth devices on one of your mobile devices and then pair it to the new one as you did. For more information about this topic please visit this article and open the menu "How do I set up notifications?".
Thank you for letting us know how you resolved the issue. Hope this information be useful to other users experiencing the same situation.
See you around.
