Sense not tracking calories burned accurately

I've had my Sense about a year and the heart rate monitor seemed to be working OK. Lately it seems off. I did a strenuous yoga/pilates class for an hour this morning and my fitbit showed I only burned 1 calorie per minute. I think you burn more than 1 calorie per minute doing absolutely nothing. Then later I was literally sitting in a chair knitting and my heart rate showed 142. ?? I don't get it.

Thank you for visiting the Fitbit Community, @koikeeper.

I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced with your Fitbit Sense. Thank you for the information provided.

For information about how your Watch calculates your calories burned, please visit this article and open the menu "How does my Fitbit device calculate calories burned?".

If your Sense is not tracking your heart-rate correctly, I would recommend following these tips to resolve heart-rate tracking issues.

When working at a desk, cooking, or performing other activities with arm movements, a device on your wrist may add some steps. The dominant wrist setting decreases the sensitivity of step counting and should reduce any over counting of steps when your body is not moving. Your dominant hand is the one you use for writing and eating. For instructions on how to change the wrist setting, please visit this article and open the menu "How do I change the wrist setting on my Fitbit device?".

Hope this helps.

My Fit Bit is not accurately tracking calories burned.  I burn about 50 calories an hour when I am sleeping.  Example:  on Friday June 23, 2023 I did 10,653 steps for the day, but my Fitbit Sense says I only burned 924 calories.  Wednesday, June 21, 2023 I did 15,302 steps, had 84 zone minutes, but only burned 1102 calories.  Is my Fitbit starting to fail?
