Sense not working after going through airport scanner

I just went through a stand-up airport scanner and my FitBit Sense is no longer responsive.  It worked fine going in.

Any suggestions on how to get it working again?

Hi @bbehm, welcome to the community.

Is the Sense completely dead? If so I would recommend putting it onto the charger and trying to do a restart whilst it's still connected to the charger. A restart is performed by pressing and holding the side button for about 15 seconds.

I work at an airport, so mine is going through the X-Ray daily. I'm yet to have any issues in all my years of Fitbit ownership, so I don't believe it's the scanner that fried it. Sounds more like faulty device.

If the above doesn't revive it, I would recommend contacting customer support (here) and discussing it further.

I did as @N8teGee suggested and held the "side button" for 15 seconds, which on a Sense is a little tough knowing if you are really pressing the button.  It did start back up but the clock was about 30 min off until it synced with my phone again.

So far it seems like everything is functioning properly.

Good to hear @bbehm. Hopefully it was just a temporary glitch.
