Last 4 nights I've only gotten basic sleep. I've uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, cleaned the back of the Sense, know how to wear it, etc. Fitbit user since early 2016. What are your suggestions.

The following conditions can prevent sleep phases from being recorded:
- You record your sleep using the app instead of the tracker's automatic sleep detection.
- The tracker's battery is almost empty when you go to bed (below 25%). This prevents regular heart rate recording.
- You use the metal wristband while sleeping.
- You sleep less than 3 hours.
- The wristband is too loose or too tight on your wrist. You should be able to insert your index finger between the wristband and your arm without much resistance so that your heart rate is regularly recorded and sleep phases can be detected.

I find it a bit disconcerting that you have only given basic tips for newbies when their sleep stats don't record. I have been a Fitbit user since January 2016 and have had my Sense since July 2021. Believe me, I know how to wear/use/charge my fitbit for sleep stats. And the back of the watch has been cleaned, twice now. Still no detailed sleep stats for almost a week. Do you have any other more detailed things to try???

@pastimz , Thank you for your reply! We always provide the basic information that needs to be taken into consideration, even if you are a long Fitbit user.
This is because after we get used to some behaviors we tend to forget little things/details about it.
Please check the heart rate recording during the sleep. Make sure that you don't see any interruptions. The most common reason for getting the simplified sleep record is because the heart rate cannot be read successfully.
If this didn't help, then contact support. They have more tools to investigate your case and see what might be causing this.

Messed around a bit more with the Sense before dinner and I'm not sure what I did but the detailed sleep stats for the last 4 days finally showed up!! Only took me the good part of 8 hours messing with it.....But glad (whatever I did) finally worked. Now to get internet on the app (currently says there isn't any internet, lol. If it's not one thing, it's another, lol. Thank you for your help. Charlotte

Well, I think I was wrong. Maybe in my haste to fix dinner I was on the wrong days.....sigh.....last four days just basic.....beyond, beyond frustrated.

About the Internet message where does it appear, as a banner in the app dashboard or on any specific section in the Fitbit app?
Are you using mobile data or wifi connection?
if possible , could you please attach a screenshot of the error message on your reply so that I can see what you are looking at.
