Sense overcounted my laps

I have been using fitbit for several years. No big issues before, occasionally over or under counted for 1-2 laps, but I figured it may be due to my special drills. However, I found a bigger issue with my Sense recently.

I swam 1000 yards freestyle in a 25-yard pool with no stop, it showed 1150 yard in total.

Hi @iloveswim. It's nice to see you for the first time in the Fitbit community.

Thank you for your inquiry regarding your Sense.

There are a few reasons that can cause inconsistencies with your swim data:

  • You completed only a few laps
  • You stopped to rest multiple times or in the middle of the pool
  • You stopped to rest for longer than 60 seconds after completing a pool length
  • You changed your stroke type midway through a length
  • You swam with a kickboard or without using your arms
  • You swam less than the minimum duration needed for your swim to be automatically recognized

In addition to the reasons mentioned earlier, and if you already checked the pool length is accurate in the Fitbit app, please try to complete a restart procedure and check if you continue to experience the same behavior.
