Hi @JaneMp3 - good observations. This seems to be a general issue that some others have observed when wearing it.
Where the sudden increase comes from is unknown. Though just in case it helps try restarting the watch.
Try syncing the watch and doing a full Shutdown from the watch Settings menu. Wait at least 10 seconds before placing on the charger to restart it and charge it.

Best AnswerThank you. I did your recommendation a couple of days ago. Waited to see if it help. So far it stopped recording at night for last two days, but it did record a extreme high rate at a time that I was sleeping. I might try wearing it overnight and see what happens. Too bad though. My previous fitbit was an Inspire. It worked very well, but I had a hard time reading the screen due to the size.
