Sense screen flashes icon

My Sense wont sync, the screen only flashes the icon, and the battery icon flashed 0% a few times. The last sync was at 3 am, and the battery was 35%. At 6 am, it was as described, flasing the icon and 0% battery.
In checking the forums for help, I noticed there are so many posts about the same or similar issues. I also noticed there was an update Feb 20. Mine arent automatic, so its very possible i updated just before the last sync. Could this be an update bug?
i tried the restart as provided by Help, but it did not help. This is my 3rd fitbit, wont be purchasing another.

Hello and welcome to the community, @JacksGranny.

I appreciate your explanation in regards to the reboot loop your Charge 5 has.

I was able to confirm you contacted support and they were able to provide you with a solution, if you have any other questions or concerns, my best recommendation would be to contact them.

I dont have a Charge 5. My post was about my Sense that suddenly died after an app update. Your answer is not relevant to my post.
yes, Customer Service offered solution, a discount coupon for a new fitbit which I will not be using. This was my 3rd fitbit that died young. Time to move on…..

Mine did the exact same thing around the same time. It was perfectly fine then one day it stayed on the FitBit icon. Did all the troubleshooting and nothing worked. It’s weird that so many people are having the same issue around the same time 🤔

Same issues, coincidence not!

i have to think its a bug in latest update. And I would like to think someone at fitbit is pursuing this possibility. Am I hoping for too much?

Hi. My Fitbit Sense started playing up yesterday (6 March, 2024). First no opening time screen and then reverted to the Fitbit logo. For 26 hours (and with an overnight recharge) still only the Fitbit logo on the Sense. I've tried to restart using the 'Quick-start guide' method supplied with the watch and the logo disappears for a few seconds and then reappears. This is my 3rd Fitbit in 5 or 6 years and the 2nd Sense I've had in 3 years. Should they malfunction this quickly?!?

There are just too many similar complaints on this forum about the Sense suddenly not synching, the fitbit logo flashing and not being able to restart, battery suddenly draining, for it to be a coincidence, imo. I keep checking for an update that hopefully will correct these issues. One might wonder if, with Google now owning fitbit, fitbit products are not a priority, or worse?
Come on Fitbit Customer Care, dont you see a pattern here with the malfunctioning Senses? What are you doing about it ?
My Sense went awry after 2 years and two months. Am I unrealistic to expect it to last longer?

Since my Sense is no longer under warranty, Fitbit offered a discount coupon for new fitbit. It has to be purchased directly from Fitbit, and not every model is offered.                                I have worn a fitbit for nine years, upgrading models each time one became unusable.  This Sense was my 4th fitbit in nine years. I have to admit I’ve felt incomplete without a fitbit on my wrist but I’m hoping I get over it because I think for the price, they should last longer than 2 years.

This is also happening to me. After reading all these comments about the same problem, I can't help but wonder if it is designed to have this flaw shortly after warranty is up in hopes it will generate a new sale. If they attempt to rectify the proplem, this point of view would change. If the only compensation is a discount on a future devise, that would justify my suspicions.  This is my 4th and last fitbit unless a fix is provided.
