Sense screen glass design flaw

I've had every nearly every Fitbit device made, my last being the Ionic, before purchasing the latest release of the Sense. Within 3 weeks I noticed my screen glass was cracked and have no idea how this occurred. I wore the Ionic everywhere for nearly two years and never had anything like this happen. The Ionic seems to be way more "indestructible" than the new Sense. Now the problem that there is no repair option available from Fitbit. This will certainly be my last purchase from Fitbit as I've read numerous other posts from the new Sense buyers experiencing the same issue. It is clearly thinner and has less  surrounding screen glass protection than the Ionic. It's a shame because the Ionic was so good and the Sense is so bad.....

Hi, @cabobbyd, welcome, Sad to hear you have a cracked screen, I'm always nervous about it when I'm gardening and try to keep it protected under my sleeve. It's an undeniable fact that the screen is quite large compared to previous Fitbit devices and inevitably it is more susceptible to impact damage. All wearables have a tough life. I know that as a result of the modern construction of the Sense there is quite a lot of adhesive used and it's not really surprising repairs are a problem. You will see from the advertising they use Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3 at the leading edge of toughness.  I think your best way forward is to approach your home contents insurer or the seller for a claim or refund.

Good luck.

Cheers
