Sense stopped working after getting wet

So I just bought a new Sense (1st generation because I need to have google assistant...) only 2 weeks ago, to replace my old Versa 3 (whose battery died recently) and yesterday after spending 1h surfing at the beach, I noticed it was dead. After consulting the forums I've realized it's not that uncommon that the seal is compromised and water gets in... This had never happened to my Versa 3, during my 3 years with it.

I've already emailed Fitbit and expect them to honor the warranty, but my question now is, should I get a new Sense (again, has to be 1st gen because of google assistant) or just forget about fitbit and get a different brand? Or go back to Versa 3?

Hi @lfgalvao - the Versa 3 and Sense [like later and previous modles] can suffer water getting in. There are other brands with Google Assistant and even longer battery life available that may be more resistant to water.
