I went to turn on my Fitbit Sense this morning after having it off for the weekend and it's turned onto this screen - google translate tells me it's prompting me to download the fitbit app, which I already have. The app wouldn't sync, I can't use the actual watch to navigate any menu/options.

I have read through a heap of forum Qs and have restarted my phone, uninstalled and reinstalled the Fitbit app, "forget device" on bluetooth but nothing is working. Now when I try and find it on Bluetooth, it doesn't even come up. I've disconnected all other bluetooth items (TV/Speakers etc). I can't even turn the device off!
Ive never had this happen, how do I fix it?

Hi there, @ClareBH. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Sense and the photo attached.

I agree with @Guy_. Please note the issue you're having comes from performing a factory reset without first unpairing your Fitbit device from your Fitbit account and phone's Bluetooth settings. With that being said, I suggest following the steps below in the order listed (even if some of them you've already tried):

  • Unpair your Sense from your phone's Bluetooth and also make sure it's no longer connect to your Fitbit app.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Sense again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Sense.

If you can't get started with your Sense, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

Hi @ClareBH - remove the sense entries from Bluetooth and in the Fitbit App, click profile photo and " + Set up a Device" following the install instructions. This will recognise the watch and setup Bluetooth properly.
