Sense stuck on message "To start download the Fitbit app"

All of a sudden, my Sense watch stopped working. It is showing that I need to download fitbit app to begin. I cannot use my watch at all.

I have tried to download the upgrade on the app, disconnected my watch, uninstalled the app, restarted my phone and nothing is helping. Customer Support is being useless. This is a horrible experience. Has anyone had something similar and been able to get out of this loop? The upgrade keeps failing.

This did not work for me. This is extremely frustrating and I will not be buying fitbit again at this rate.

Sorry to hear that but this is a problem fitbit is not able to solve and is faced by  number of customers, i am one of them within a period of 2 years they are asking to throw the device in trash. I would urge all not to buy their products.

I earned enough reward points through my insurance to get another health
smartwatch. They had a Sense 2, but I opted for a Garmin Vivoactive 5, just
to be on the safe side.

I had this happen to me once. My Pixel 8 (android) could not get the fitbit to work after a fitbit sense reset. The download failed each time.  Finally tried the download and update with my iphone and the software DID update the sense. Took about 5 hours to fix. My hotel wifi had a password so I had to do this over the air. That's one reason it took so long, the download using cell service was so slow. And to have it fail at the end of the pixel 8 download a few times was so frustrating after waiting so long each time. Crazy that my google product didn't work with a google product, but the apple product did.

I gave up and bought a Garmin Vivoactive 5. I am very happy with it.

Good call, I'm about to do the same. Have been burned way too many times by
Fitbit.
