Sense suddenly lagging

Over the past 48 hours or so my Sense has started to significantly lag.  Everything from swiping screens, opening apps to watch face visibility on raising my arm or button push, etc.  I can't say that I'm seeing any significant battery drain associated with this event though I'm perceiving it's draining faster.

I have not installed or removed any apps.  I am up to date on Firmware since whenever version 44.128.6.17 was released.  I have attempted multiple shutdown and restarts.  I have disabled/ re-enabled Bluetooth on my phone and shutdown and reopened the Fitbit app.

Kind of at a loss for what is causing the sudden and dramatic change.  I've had the Sense since March 9, 2022.  It was a Fitbit replacement for my Ionic when they recalled that model.

Happy to try any troubleshooting advice beyond what I've noted here.

Update:  Battery drain is real.  Started this morning at 100% - down to 20% battery 9 hours later...

After 10 years and 4 different Fitbits it may be time for me to make my Garmin I use for running my fulltime watch. 😞

Update - decided to perform a factory reset.  Interestingly, after reset the Fitbit gave an error that it was unable to erase user data.  However, upon restarting set up (I also removed the Sense from my Fitbit app) the Sense completed setup, retaining some data (like installed apps and clocks) and now seems to be performing normally.

Go figure...
