Sense too many steps

Hi I bought the new sense recently. 

I haven't walked that much today and it shows 2,094 steps which is massive. Is there anything if can do to fix this setting ?

I had a galaxy active 2 before and now I am confused in returning the sense because its faulty.

Didn't you drive a car? Unfortunately while driving the step counting and floor counting is also goes 😞

No, I have been working from home all day and it says close to 3,000 steps which is insane. Should I ask for a replacement ??

The first thing you should check if the setting of dominant/non dominant hand is correct.

My FitBit is not even a day old. I logged 18 steps this morning whilst lying in bed, and another 80 standing in one place and folding a jumper. 🤔 This does not really inspire confidence.
