Hi,
Why has my fitbit sense recorded 29942 steps whilst I've been asleep. I had a great night sleep but I haven't done the 16 miles it says I have.

Hi @steve68004 - if you look in the forum there are a group of you doing steps in your sleep! As a first step (ha!) try restarting the watch with a full Shutdown. Wait 10 seconds before placing it on the charger to restart it and fully charge it.
Also check in the app, click profile photo, that MobileTrack is not installed or any other trackers, and that you don't have other devices connected to your watch or links to other apps that could be sourcing the steps.

Hi there, @steve68004. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Sense.
As @Guy_ has mentioned, do you use MobileTrack? MobileTrack is a feature that records basic stats such as steps using your phone's sensors if you don't have a Fitbit device available. But there was a fan or anything buzzing nearby, or if your phone was vibrating during that time, that might have caused you to receive incorrect steps tracked.
One of the recommendations is to disable this feature by following the steps described in this help article and monitor your tracker's behavior to see if this has any relationship.
Know that you can negate the extra steps in the Fitbit app. For more information, see: How do I add, edit, or delete Fitbit data and activities?
Hope this helps.
