Sense turned off after swimming

My Fitbit sense just shut down after a swim. Won't restart. Have tried charging it, but device is now getting hot to the touch. Unplugged power at one point and bright red light flashed on the back charging area. Tried the charge / uncharge X 3 times in 10 secs trick, still no response. Thoughts anyone ? Is it dead ?

Hi @GoHabsGo - unfortunately the seals are not so robust and your watch has suffered terminal water damage. It should not be worn or charged as it is just dangerous.

I have this same issue. It worked in water in the past, but just got back from an ocean beach vacation and I kept it on in the ocean and now it's dead. Won't charge or turn on.

You can contact Fitbit support and they'll give you 35% off promo code towards another Fitbit device.

Has anyone been able to get a 35% off promo code that works towards a Pixel Watch? When I try to use the promo code on a Pixel watch it doesn't work only Fitbit. I'd rather get a Pixel Watch 3 instead of a Sense 2, but if the Sense 2 is 35% off and Pixel Watch is full price that's a $200 difference. I assume they are only offering promo codes towards Fitbit devices but am curious if anyone has successfully received a promo valid towards a Pixel Watch instead?
