Sense will not Sync

I have had the sense for about 5 weeks.  Not really happy with it.  Have to tap it numerous times to see anything even though it is set to come on when I move.

I have had issues twice where I have put it on charge at night to find it has not charged so have to fiddle around with it and double check it's charging.

Thought it had charged yesterday and found it dead this morning so charged it and now it will not sync.  Have followed the guide and turned blue tooth on and off, could not find a 'button' as in the troubleshooting to turn off but managed to shutdown.  Also closed the app and restarted my Apple 11.

Still did not sync so totally removed it from the fitbit app.  Now cannot re-pair - get a message that it has aborted.

The strange thing through all of this is that I am still getting my phone messages on it even though the time is incorrect so seems like some things are flowing through ok and others are not.

Of course I have tried to contact support and am going around in circles and getting no where on the site.  If not resolved by end of today I will be requesting a refund at the place I purchased and will get another brand as could not be bothered spending hours trying to fix as too busy.

Hi, @WBlanchy , welcome to the community.  You seem to be having a problem with charging your device and syncing it. The Sense charging cable has had some issues, you will see the 4 little pins on the charging cable are spring-loaded gently wiggle the pins to ensure they are moving freely. If you have a problem with any of them talk to "Customer Support" here using the chat facility or phone with a view to asking for a replacement. I also recommend you wash the "Sense" with warm soapy water, I use cotton buds to clean out the little pits in the back of the "Sense" by rotating cotton ends in the pits. Make sure your "Sense" is dry before attempting to charge it. Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?  provides more advice.

The fact that the time is incorrect on your device is a symptom of a failure to sync.

May I draw your attention to these articles How do Fitbit devices sync their data? and Why won't my Fitbit device sync? You should also make sure you have allowed all permissions in the Fitbit app on your phone and that any battery-saving function on your phone has been disabled for the Fitbit app. This last is because some phones treat the app as non-essential and close it down when it needs to run constantly in the background.
