Sense won’t maintain charge

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Suddenly, my sense won’t maintain a charge for more than 6-8 hours from 100% charged. I haven’t changed any settings, or how I use my watch. Typically, I’d charge every 2 days. Ive done a factory reset, synced it a billion times, and did the most recent updates. Help!!

Try keeping the app on your phone closed. If I leave mine open, especially when exercising, I lose charge very quickly

Hi, @Heidi1620, welcome, I suggest you check & disable the "Snore Report" if it's on, a notorious juice guzzler. It may have been reset during a recent app update. From the today screen in your Fitbit app,>sleep tile>settings gear wheel in the top right>swipe up to the bottom and ensure the "Detect Snoring" slider is in the off position>sync.

You do not mention how long you've had your "Sense" if you are still stuck talk to "Customer Support" using the chat facility or phone for a prompt response. Bear in mind the warranty excludes accidental damage unless you have the FPP extension. Depending on where you live local legislation may provide more extensive cover (though I hope you do not need this)

Cheers

I used to get a week from mine. I did a firmware update last week and now it doesn’t even last 2 days. The battery drained while I was sleeping with no notification that it was low. I had 78% before going to bed.

I recently restarted my Sense.  Before, the battery would last 5-7 days.  Now, I have to charge it twice a day!  To set up my Sense, I had to turn on -- like everyone else -- tracking, gps, etc. on my Android phone.  I've tried to turn off GPS since I don't use it.  I've uninstalled Pandora, and several other apps that I never intend to use.  Yesterday, my fitbit locked up on one of the screens under setting and all the button pushing would NOT get it back to the clock face.  It was almost like the button wasn't even working.  When I plugged it in a few hours before bedtime, it was locked.  When I unplugged it to go to bed, the clock face appeared again.  The battery lasts about 12 hours.  Any suggestions?  Some of the helps I've read somehow does not fit my Sense -- I don't have the screens they talk about!  How do I want to use it?  Tell time, count my steps, heart rate is fine too on Clock face.

Your directions do not fit my Sense.  There is no 'swipe up to the bottom and ensure the "Detect Snoring" slider...'.  The page is only one page and there is no "Detect Snoring".

But I have the same problem as original author -- have to charge twice a day -- only recently set up.

Hi, @Ocklawaha, the screen looks like this -

Check out the many posts on this board about charging your "Sense", look at the 4 pins on the charging cable, and

clean the back of your "Sense". Review Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?

I hope this helps.

Cheers

I contacted Fitbit help by phone yesterday after my post.  The guy told
me that my battery was bad, that I was not using any program that sucks
energy from the battery.  His solution, since the warranty is out (less
than 2 years old), chuck it and buy another Fitbit.  Offer is 35%
discount on some other Fitbits.  Note: When I called a few months back
regarding lack of connectivity with my android phone, she said my Sense
will not connect with my Galaxy and I needed to buy a different model, a
less expensive model.  I didn't.

My solution: after buying 4 or 5 Fitbits models over the years, I bought
another tracker from another company for 1/5 the price. It'll be here in
less than a week.

I do not find my post made yesterday.  I'm guessing when you combined,
my post disappeared -- doesn't matter now.

Thanks for the reply.
