Sense won’t receive iPhone 8+ text messages

Hi,

I have a new sense fitbit and it’s not receiving my text messages. I have read lots of other messages on the forum and we have been through all of the steps to no avail. I can receive phone calls but no texts.
When I go into my profile - sense- notifications - App notifications, messages is not listed as an option at all. Messenger and Fitbit, Instagram etc are all there. How do I get messages to appear in that list of app notifications?

check this thread and compare settings then reboot phone and sense. 

see if it helps.

Hi and thanks for the reply. However, I have checked everything and we have allowed access and all the right things are switched to enable etc

 

There is one part of the thread I don’t have - in the Fitbit sense app notifications part - it does not say 

-calls

- text messages

- calendar events

AT ALL

 

it has push notifications (which mentions messages but not specifically TEXT messages), and email notifications.

i can receive calls however 🤷🏻‍:female_sign:

i have looked for updates and everything is operating on the newest software.???

Thank you so much. I just did it all again and there was an update for my phone. I did that and now I can see the text messages, calls and calendar events but still no receiving. I tried to receive a messenger message from my daughter but that doesn’t show up either.

 

I have forcibly shut down my phone, fitbit device and all of the apps and checked syncing etc. I feel like I have done what I can even tho I’m not great with all this. 

I do appreciate your time though 💞 hopefully someone else may hold the key.

One last thing. Do you have a copy of this manual?

Good luck and hope you get it squared away. Keep at it. You’ll enjoy getting text, emails, outlook (work emails appts etc), and calls on the wrist.
