Sense won’t turn on

My Fitbit sense is about a month old. I really like this watch. Last night the screen wouldn’t turn on and it appears the side button isn’t working anymore. Please help, I can’t get the watch display back on.

Hi @Ekpogue  - it most likely has a flat battery, try changing it

If it doesn't charge make sure the terminals are clean and check the charge cable for faults.

Commonly one of the pins becomes loose and doesn't make good contact, the 4 pins should be equally prominent and securely located.

To make sure it's not a power source issue try plugging it into a computer port.

If you can get it to charge it should restart automatically.

My Fitbit Sense will not reboot. After holding the button down the logo does appear but then goes blank.  I think I am going to give up on this watch, I have spent more time re-syncing and trying to get it to function properly than actually using it.

Update, I charged my watch over night. The screen was still blank. I held down the side button for about 30 seconds and the watch re-booted. Thanks for the suggestions.

Hi @Forkball - your watch comes on if you see the logo.

Did you try charging the watch for an hour, removing the Bluetooth entries for it in your phone's Bluetooth, logout of the Fitbit App and restart the phone.

Then login again, click profile photo and "+ Set up a Device"

I tried again, no luck.  Thanks for your advice.

As you pointed out technically my Sense does turn on but with a blacked out screen.  Apparently there are NOT a lot of defective Sense Watches out there, so we can chalk mine up to user error.  I have put hours trying to get this thing to work, I am done trying.

No more FitBits for me.

@Forkball- thanks, did you check warranty, 1 to 2 years depending on country law, you may be able to replace it at the place you brought it.

It was a gift.
Why would I want another one?

Have a look at your charger pins and the watch receiver holes, make sure they are clean, and that the charger pins are all out, the left pin away from the cable is sometimes problematic and fails, if this is the case contact support to get a new charger.

I've owned mine for almost a year. It totally bricked and I've been trying for a day now to get it restarted with no luck. Did you know if you buy your Fitbit from another retailer (like Amazon) they don't honor the warranty? For an expensive item like this, someone should take responsibility instead of pointing fingers at each other. This is the second and the last Fitbit I will own. I'm getting an Apple Watch. Thanks for nothing.

When I hold the side button down the watch does vibrate and the logo comes up but the screen just goes to black.  The green lights on the back flash.  Does that sound like it is not charged?
