Sense won't update

I've been trying to update my sense multiple times but it keeps getting stuck on the downloading screen (doesn't go past 0%). I've contacted support about it and have gone through all the troubleshooting steps, and they've said there's nothing else I can do and my fitbit is out of warranty so they can't replace it. Has anyone else had this issue or knows how to fix it?

Thank you for providing the details about this inquiry regarding your Sense. Thank you for trying to fix it on your own. 

Seems that your Sense is asking to be paired to your Fitbit account again. I'd suggest following the steps below:

  • Check if by any chance your phone's Bluetooth shows the Sense as a connected device. If so, please unpair/remove it.
  • Remove the Sense from your Fitbit account and your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Sense again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Sense.
