Sense won't update

My sense can be found by my phone and Paired via Bluetooth but that's about it, It won't update, infact my phone can't even find it too update, jist keeps saying error connect via wifi, then error connect via Bluetooth, I have exhausted every option known to man, restarting fitbit, uninstalling and reinstalling the fitbit app, pairing and unpairing the device, manually trying to set WiFi network, restarting my phone, clearing the cache, forcing stop, my phone is running the newest update and the app is updated too - this is the only screen I get after the 4 digit pairing number and the tick to say its paired.

.... What am i missing? or do I simply have to admit defeat and do I have a dud fitbit??
