This is my third Fitbit and my first "smartwatch". The last device I got was an HR3, which took 3 hours to set-up initially and worked well (within its parameters) until the display became unreadable. I'm really struck by how much easier this set-up has been: it took an hour and a half (including charging time), and the watch has worked smoothly. I'm impressed this morning with how much more data I have and that the watch works much more independently than the HR3 did of syncing with my phone app. As always, this will take some tweaking to configure to my needs, and the app side of this is unfamiliar to me.
One thing I will say: Fitbit-- give people a "quick start" guide or at least a link to a manual that provides them! My watch needed charging, and if you'd just outlined a few early steps, it would have saved me some hassle and a conversation with customer support. Otherwise, this is a huge upgrade from the HR 3 and I'm pleased so far.

Yeah, a quickstart guide would be pretty useful. There is a manual in the app, but you kind of stumble upon it. I found the setup to be really easy..
