Hey,
As I don't get any response from the official European Fitbit reseller (fitbit.com/eu) I'd like to ask if any of you have experience with shipping in Europe. I'd like to know who is the carrier? I know it depends on the country, but is it the receiver country's national postal service or is it a courier company (like UPS, DPD, etc)? Can't find any info on fitbit.com. I'm very curious because if it's the national postal service I wouldn't order as it is very slow and very unreliable in my country (lost/broken packages, etc).
Have you got any experience with this?
Thanks!

Best AnswerI also live in Europe and I chose the fitbit to be sent by DHL. I can't remember if I had several shipping options but in Germany it's very common to have your parcels sent by DHL*. I also chose standard shipment so I can kiss the pre-order "benefit" goodbye 🙂
*I just double checked. There is only one option and that is by DHL Standard, at least in Germany.
Fitbit customer support is doing their best, but right now be prepared for longer wait times. Please be patient. Support is limited by the number of representatives available at a given time and the hours of operation. Chat lines are open when they have live help.

I wrote an email directly to Moduslink who's the official Fitbit partner in Europe and they didn't answer.
So it's not the Fitbit CS who's not responding. 🙂

Thank you, that's very helpful information. DHL hands over the package at the border to the Hungarian Postal Service in most cases so I'm afraid I should opt for the expedited delivery option to avoid our postal service then. I think DHL delivers the package from door to door by theirselves if I choose the expedited option.
Best AnswerI live in Germany, ordered through the Fitbit website itselfe like I did a couple of times already with the additional bands for other fitbits.
And mine always got send with DPD, never with DHL. I also was not able to choose between different delivery services. I only chose regular, not overnight.
So I assume that this time they will send it again with DPD. I hope so 😎
