When will the speaker function be available? And is that a software update or a hardware update?

It will be a software update so early adopters will not lose out. However, it's not yet clear when the Sense will make use of the speaker or what functions will support it. 

 

The press release talked about using it for taking calls on the watch over bluetooth but only said "coming soon". I haven't seen anything from Fitbit that suggests other functions will make use of it. So far I haven't found anything that does use the speaker but there must be possibilities for Alexa, alarms, timers etc in the future
