Just got my Fitbit Sense yesterday it has been updated and restarted. I'm a truck driver it says I climbed stairs today which I did not do.. it also says I did 12,000 steps, which I did not do.
Is there a way to turn these off when I'm driving..as a truck driver I drive every day, or is the way that it can tell the difference that I'm going 60 miles an hour and not to track the motions?

Hi @Sixraven - you may be able to set Driving as an exercise, hopefully without GPS on, or it will use up your battery, but hardly ideal as a solution.
The floor counting problem is not a watch issue as you can see by other people in the forums with the same issue.

@Sixraven That's a lot of false steps. You don't happen to have MobileTrack (Step tracking with your phone) setup as well do you? I believe that's one of the ways people's step counts has been thrown off.
False floor counts is unfortunately common. The altimeter or algorithm is too sensitive.

Support answered me on Twitter with this..Hi, Lynnie. Got it. Your device has been tested against driving and riding in buses, trains, and other public transportation and shouldn’t add steps when you’re traveling under normal conditions. On bumpy roads or in a car with a stiff transmission your device may add some steps. If you want to remove the steps from your daily total, manually log the driving activity for the time you were in a vehicle. See: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1306.htm…
