I used to get 4 or 5 days of charge out of my Sense. Then this latest update came out and suddenly I am down to, at most, 3 days. I have SPO2 tracking turned off so it isn't that... Anyone have any ideas what went on? Why must every update come with a reduction in battery charge life?!!

Are you using iOS? If so, check out this thread where Fitbit discuss a known issue with Sense battery drain:

No - I use Android and it's literally acting the same way so either Fitbit is lying that this is an iOS thing or they don't QA Android. Either way this is getting old - I should not have to work this hard to optimize a darn watch every time they fiddle with it's software.

I have only had my Sense for more than a month and I can say I never got more than 2.5 days on a charge. I am using SpO2 but nothing else. I would not expect that SpO2 alone would kill 50% of the battery capacity since it's an advertised feature of the watch (along with 6 day battery life). It's a feature I am not willing to give up since it's important info for me. I am also using Android.
I got the new software this morning and so far I have not noticed a change in the battery life but I will keep monitoring it. Was sort of hoping the battery life would be improved a little with some optimizations from the Fitbit team but I think we will be lucky to get the same battery life as we did before doing the update. I would be happy to get 5 days from the battery. The battery life was one of the main factors for getting this device over the latest Samsung watch. Ironically, the real world battery life is the same as the Samsung watch.

Remove permissions for SPO2 - it was turned on after the last update for all day tracking and it destroys battery life. But after this latest firmware update it seems to have ruined battery life again.
