morning everyone! hope you can help me...

how do i switch apps when the "exercise" app is running?

if i go for a walk, i always start the "exercise" app on my fitbit sense. but let's say that i stop in a shop for 1 minute to buy a bottle of water, i can't switch between apps to access my wallet and pay. is there something i'm missing or don't know about?!

thanks!

@john_atan Actually I just tested it out because I missed your situation of trying to pay while pausing a workout and YOU CAN switch between apps. It has to be between any of the 4 apps with the Double Press shortcut. I actually do have the wallet there and I was able to open it while a workout was going on and pause. Give it a try.

 Fitbit OS allows to run only one app at time and you can't switch between apps.

Yes it's kind of a good thing and bad thing. You can't reply to something like a text message or whatever notifications but you do stay focused on the workout.

@eezeepee-  you are correct about system apps which can run any time without closing a clock or running app, this is especially good for Music controls, which can switch tracks and change volume etc. without loading any specific apps to do it.

Music controls is by far the best way to handle any music on the phone such as Spotify or any private music [MP3s] or paid music.

One has to make sure which are the system apps because the 4 shortcut keys can be assigned to any apps by the user;

The 4 system apps are Music controls, Pay, Quick Settings and Voice Assistant.

Put pay into the quick app selection. These quick apps are allways available from any screen on the Sense

Is there a way to go back to the watch face temporarily when the workout is paused?

@deiG  - it's app OR clock face. And any system app.

No. When I double press on the button in a paused workout, I see this (the picture below). If I tap on Yes, the workout quits and ends completely.

@deiG  - that's what it is saying, either stay in workout or load a clock face. Its either but not both.

Pity. That's useless. I can stop the workout and launch an app. Double-pressing the button to start another app doesn't make any difference.

@deiG  - not quite. Double press should bring up shortcuts, single press will bring up pause message.

Which workout are you using, as they may react differently.
