I record my weight every morning on my Fitbit sense watch, but it reverts back to the previously recorded weight.

Hi, @Johngriz, welcome to the community, I also record my weight each morning. In the "Today" screen on the Fitbit app>touch the "+" on the weight tile>"Weight" register>enter my weight>save>check the weight tile shows the new weight (if there is a change) it sometimes takes a couple of seconds for the change to appear.

I hope this helps but if you are still stuck please post here again.

Cheers

Thanks, @Gr4ndp4.  Are you recording your weight straight from your watch?  That is where my problem lies.  I record it from my watch, but it reverts back to my previously recorded weight when I check it a few hours later.

Hi, @Johngriz, I'm not sure how you are recording your weight from your "Sense", as far as I'm aware it can only be done from the Fitbit app on your phone.

Cheers

@Gr4ndp4, I just scroll up on the clock screen until I get to weight, click on it, then go to where it says Log.

Hi, @Johngriz, this is interesting, I learn something new each day. I tried to replicate your problem and did so to a certain extent. I weighed myself this morning (without entering the new weight in my phone app) and entered the new weight on the "Sense". I note the following -

  • the new weight transferred to my phone app and appeared in the graph and the daily register.
  • the new weight did not appear in the weight tile on the app "Today" screen and syncing & restarting the "Sense" did not provoke a change.
  • the new weight subsequently disappeared from my "Sense", reverting to the previous weight.

I think this may be a bug, in these circumstances I think your best way forward will be to record your daily weight as described in my earlier post. I will make inquiries.

Cheers

Hi, @Johngriz, I've been experimenting and trying to identify & resolve this issue. It appears to be a syncing problem so I restarted the Fitbit app on my phone after clearing the storage & cache. It seems to have had the desired effect.

In your phone settings,>apps>Fitbit,>force stop> storage & cache>clear both>turn off your phone>restart your phone. You will need to reapprove permissions when you restart Fitbit.

Let us know how you get on.

Cheers

@Gr4ndp4, thanks.  I have just been entering the weight twice.  I will try the restart and clear the storage and cache, though.
