Timer app crashes on boot

Hi, I recently noticed that the Timer app immediately crashes when I start it on my Fitbit Sense.  When I tap the Timer app, it starts loading and displays the Timer icon in the center of the screen, and then it simply disappears and is no longer running.  I have used the Timer app successfully in the past, but it's been awhile since my last use so I don't know when it stopped working.

What I've tried:

  • Restarting my Fitbit Sense did not help.
  • Restarting my phone did not help.
  • Uninstalling/reinstalling the Timer app did not help.  Note - the version of the Timers app as reported by the Fitbit app on my phone is 128.6.17 (updated 1/20/22)
  • I've ensured I'm running the latest firmware (44.128.6.17)
  • I've ensure the battery is fully charged and the device is fully sync'd w/my phone

Any other ideas/recommendations?  Is this working for other people?

Hi @SHaase  - it seems it's an OS fault.

Can you chat via the Fitbit App, click profile photo, Help & support, Contact Customer support. They can take you through a lengthy factory reset and reinstallation.

Or you can do it from the watch Settings, about menu, but wait for several minutes for it to complete before setting it up again.

There are other timer apps in the Gallery if you just want a quick timer and the rest of your watch is working.

If you do a factory reset first note the names of your clocks and apps for easy reinstalling afterwards.

sigh.  I was hoping to not have to do a factory reset, but went ahead with it since there was no other feedback.  The factory reset did resolve the issue.
