Hi Everyone.
When working out, how important is it to choose the correct workout setting??
Majority of my training is interval training, but I have realised I have just been selecting 'workout'...

I have never seen an "official" Fitbit explanation of this, but here's my firm belief:
Assuming you are using the Exercise App to record your workouts as they are happening:
The exercise category has a few purposes, but does not affect any statistics.
But despite the differences shown in which stats for the workout, it all goes into daily total the same.
But I would add, selecting Interval lets you have fitbit time the intervals for you - thoughts differ on how helpful that is. Other than that, I see no problem continuing to call anything "workout".
Where I do think it can make a difference is if you are manually logging a workout after the fact, hopefully only because you were not wearing the tracker, then it might use the workout type selected to try to help guess the calorie burn rate.

Thank you, it makes sense. I was doing my usual workout last night (the body project - 1hr low impact interval workout) I decided to try selecting 'interval' instead of just 'workout' - and learnt that the Fitbit sets the times... which was obviously no good for the workout set by 'the body project', so decided to end that workout and choose the workout setting.
Thanks for the help, appreciated.
