Unable to export TCX for interval session

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

GPS is on for activity but not exporting to Strava on completion for interval training.

Also, when I try to export as TCX to manually import it to Strava it fails and I get an error message saying Fitbit are aware of the issue. Export works fine with a normal run. Looking back as issues previously raised around this looks like it has been an issue for 2 years at least.

Any workaround or planned fixed date?

Hi @Stealjamnow, welcome to the community.

I wonder if this "Workaround" (here) from DC Rainmaker might help? I know he's using it to export non GPS workouts, but I wonder if it could be used to export your interval workout? It's at least worth a try I think?

Let us know how you get on if you do try this, I'd be interested to hear the outcome. I'm not a Strava user, so cannot try myself.

Thanks for the update but that's for non GPS activity. Mine is with GPS on, in addition I can't even download a blank tcx file as the export fails so it's not the same issue outlined by dcrainmaker

Hi, are you planning to fix the export issue or the fact that interval training with GPS doesn't send to Strava? The former I only noticed as a consequence of the latter not working.

They’ve got issues that have been reported back in 2014. “We are still looking into them”

If you are fixing this problem, which I encounter as well, I would like to be able to see my pace during the separate intervals

July 2022 and still no solution...

I guess it has something to do either one of these:

- GPS from the tracker or from the phone (one gives TCX exportables, one doesn't)?

- duration of the activity: too short activities don't give TCX exportables?

You know, if a company develops some device, they should be able to track all apparent bugs. This one is one that goes on for years now, that's intolerable.
