Using My Cat Luna clock face with Fitbit Sense

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have the original Fitbit Sense, and I would like to use the clock face “my cat Luna”, but I am unable to download it for some reason. Supposedly, it works with the Fitbit sense. My daughter uses it without any problems on her Fitbit Versa I know. Can anyone provide any insight or support? Perhaps it’s just not compatible with Fitbit Sense, even though it says it’s supposed to be? Although the issue seems to be the ability to download it in my opinion. I can download any other clock face, but for some reason not that one, even though it shows up and the process seems to start. Thanks!

Hello @mptollef and welcome to the Community.  I agree with you.  The Gallery lists the Sense. For clarification, when you try to download it, do you get an error or the spinning wheel of doom?

I noticed something interesting about these Fitbit Labs clock faces.  There are four of them.  Two say they are available for the Sense, but two aren't.  And none of them list the Versa 3, which has the same screen size as the Sense.  This part is strange.

@mptollef I also use an original Sense. I have never used that clock face before. I tried to download it and got an error message that I need to connect to wifi. I can't do that because I'm traveling and I'm away from home. I'll try again on the weekend when I get home and I'll let you know how that goes.

In the meantime, I am wondering if you are connected to wifi. Do you think that could be the problem?

I got the same message actually, and I confirmed I was indeed connected to
wifi, although it seemed the Fitbit had trouble staying connected to wifi
for some reason. Glad I am not the only one, although no problem with any
other clocks for some reason. Thanks!

@mptollef most of the clock faces don't require wifi in order to download. Have you tried restarting your Sense? Sometimes that helps with these kinds of problems.

How do you restart it? I have deleted it from the app before and started
fresh, but that did not make a difference unfortunately. Are you able to
access it? Thanks for your response.

I have gotten both spinning wheel of doom and an error message, depending
on when I try and download it. Their are four faces? I see only two
available, one for cats and one for dogs. It does say that both are not
optimized for the Fitbit Sense, for whatever that means, but that they
should still work fine on the Sense. The issue is downloading. It does not
seem to download. Not sure if it would work though even if I were able to
download it. If it is no longer available or supported then I wonder why it
would even show up as an option yet?

@mptollef to restart your Sense, press the button on the left side of the device until you see the Fitbit symbol. You may see some other things first, but ignore them. Keep holding the button until the Fitbit symbol pops up.

I am able to see the My Cat Luna clock face but, as I said, I'm away from home and not able to conect to wifi. That prevents me downloading that clock face. I'll try again in a day or two, when I'm back home.

Thank you for the suggestion. I tried this just now and it did not yield
any results unfortunately. Thank you anyway. Appreciate it!

@mptollef I was able to connect my Sense to my home wifi today and the clock face downloaded with no problem. Could you try downloading it on your daughter's wifi, since it seems like it worked for her?

Also, that is a super cute clock face! I had never seen it before, so thank you for mentioning it.

@LZeeW I agree that it is strange that those clock faces are available for the Sense but not the Versa 3. I tend to think of those two devices as being basically the same, aside from some sensors.

So odd. My daughter used the same Wi-Fi as I am trying to use. The only difference is that she used a Fitbit verse and I’m using the first generation Fitbit Sense. Are you using the first generation of the Fitbit Sense? I’ve even tried downloading it when I’m connected to other Wi-Fi networks elsewhere and no luck. It just spins for a while and eventually says unable to download try again.

Hi @mptollef - to download clock faces you need full internet access on your phone and the firmware at the right level.

Try not using WiFi, just cellular and also check your phone using information in this link  no internet

@mptollef yes, I am using an original Fitbit Sense. I had no problem downloading it over my home wifi. I have a friend who also has a Sense and she was unable to download it.

These Fitbit Labs clock faces were experimental and they were never optimized for the Sense. I don't know why they work with some devices and not others, but there may not be a solution to this.
